The problem
We were approached by Ben from online fitness product retailer Beast Gear, to update his existing WordPress website. The existing site was desperately slow, something that was harming his search engine ranking position, not to mentioned impacting on his customers' user experience. Pages took such a long time to load that the bounce rate was really high as people left the site due to impatience with content loading.
The solution
Beast Gear have an impressive following on social media and are a respected brand when it comes to high quality and technically effective kit for working out with. With that in mind the new site needed to have more visual impact and to showcase all the benefits of each product, as well as the range as a whole.
We chose a Shopify theme that as well as being exceptionally quick to load, provided a great platform for large and impactful imagery, with a high quality design and feel. We also made sure that the unique 'monkey branding' was centre stage and provided the edgy look Ben wanted.
The site allows flexibility when new products are added and enables easy promotion of special offers and promotions. The aesthetically appealing blog also allows Ben to create exceptionally useful content on the benefits of his products and exercise in general.
What our client said
Ben was thrilled with our Shopify set up and development work and we are now looking at creative and effective ways to market the site, including a loyalty scheme for existing customers, an affiliate programme to incentivise 'word of mouth' referrals and email marketing to up-sell to existing clientele.
